Collection: Obsidian

Obsidian is natural volcanic glass, smooth and reflective with a clean, sharp look. It is most commonly black, but it also appears as snowflake obsidian with pale crystal inclusions, mahogany obsidian with reddish-brown banding, gold sheen obsidian, silver sheen obsidian, and rainbow obsidian with subtle color flashes.

It is found in volcanic regions such as Mexico, Iceland, and the western United States. Obsidian is often associated with protection and directness, and visually it brings strong contrast to a collection. It does not typically fluoresce under UV light. It is minimal, bold, and especially strong when paired with lighter or more translucent stones.
