Tiger’s eye is known for its golden-brown color and silky shifting sheen, called chatoyancy. It may also appear in red tiger’s eye or blue tiger’s eye, often sold as hawk’s eye, with cooler smoky blue tones. The movement across the surface is what makes it so appealing.

Most material comes from South Africa, Australia, and India. Tiger’s eye is often associated with confidence, discernment, and level-headed action. It does not typically fluoresce under UV light. It adds warmth and motion while still feeling structured and easy to style.
