Collection: Agate
Agate is defined by its layers and patterning, formed slowly within volcanic cavities over time. It comes in a huge range of colors and structures, which is part of what makes it so collectible. More common or sought-after varieties include moss agate, dendritic agate, tree agate, flower agate, blue lace agate, Botswana agate, crazy lace agate, and orca agate. Some are soft and scenic, others are bold and graphic.
Agate is commonly found in Brazil, Mexico, Madagascar, and the United States. It is often associated with balance and steadiness, which makes sense given its layered, grounded appearance. Some agates may fluoresce under UV light, especially if they contain calcite. Agate is one of the easiest stones to make feel premium because no two pieces ever look exactly alike.
