Collection: Calcite

Calcite is one of the more varied minerals in terms of both form and color. It appears in clear, white, honey, yellow, orange, blue, green, and pink tones, and may show up in chunky formations, rhombohedral crystals, or softer, more waxy-looking masses. Orange calcite and blue calcite are especially popular in decorative collections.

It is found worldwide and often forms in caves, sedimentary environments, and mineral-rich veins. Calcite is often associated with movement, clearing, and momentum. One of its most interesting features is that many forms of calcite fluoresce under UV light, sometimes in vivid pink, red, orange, or blue depending on composition. It can feel light and accessible while still offering plenty of character.
